The Arts Garage studios opened in 2007 (Hull Road, Hedon) and The Arts Garage 2, in 2014 (Tokenspire Business Park, Beverley) are arts centres owned by principals Lyn Wilson and Heather Shepherdson.

Within The Arts Garage is the LWHS School of Dance, established 1985, (formally known as the Lyn Wilson School of Dance) offering classes for children/students from age 3+, as well as parent and tots classes from age 18 months.

LWHS offers RAD & IDTA Syllabus, classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Street/Commercial, Contemporary & Musical Theatre, Acrobatic Arts, Teacher Training, Shows & Competitions, as well as many other performance opportunities (Dance Proms, Pantomimes, Youth Dance etc)

At our Hedon studio classes run daily in all the listed dance styles. We offer the opportunity to take up more hours/unlimited classes via our Dance Programme and Dance Deals.

At our Beverley studio LWHS run Ballet, Tap and Musical Theatre classes on a Saturday for younger children. More classes will be added depending on demand. Studio Space is available for hire.

Newly opened LWHS Branch School run by Sophie Moncaster at Kirk Ella, St Andrew’s CP School. Classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Acrobatic Arts and Street.

The Arts Garage 1 & 2 are also home to a number of independent businesses/organisations: Pink Dancewear (Hedon & Beverley) The Dance Break Cafe Bar (Hedon) The Fitness Academy Hull (Hedon) East Riding College Performing Arts (Beverley) Sally Stretchworks (Beverley) Miss Toni’s Adult Dance (Beverley) Aspire Dance Academy (Beverley).
